Cryptocurrency Update: 6 Crypto Coins Rise Up To 2,072% in a Day; Check Prices Here

Bitcoin on the day saw a sharp gain, with its value crossing the $44,000 mark as per data. At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin prices stood at $43,872.91 according to CoinMarketCap.

Cryptocurrency Update: Bitcoin on Tuesday, February 8, crossed the $44,000 mark in a dramatic comeback as it displayed its longest rally in over five months.

However, the coin by nature still remained volatile, as the global cryptocurrency market went steadily upward for another consecutive day, touching the $2 trillion mark. 

The market was seemingly stabilising at this point, after declining constantly for weeks following the meeting of the US Federal Reserve, where it had indicated a hike in interest rates to take on inflation.

The cryptocurrency market cap was standing at $2.00 trillion, according to data from global crypto tracking website CoinMarketCap.

This was up by 2.12 per cent over the last 24 hours.

The The global crypto volume also rose slightly over the past day.

The total volume of traded coins amounted to $87.73 billion over the course of the last day.

This has fallen by 44.14 per cent over the last 24 hours, said data on the website.

Top cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin near $44,000; XRP, Shiba Inu, Ethereum zoom up to 20%

New Delhi: The cryptocurrency market was trading higher on Tuesday on the back of strong volumes. Short term holders have made decent gains lately as the largest crypto token has zoomed more than 12 per cent since Friday.

In the broader cryptocurrency market, prices of most tokens also rallied. Altcoins have outperformed behemoths over past trading sessions.

Barring the dollar-pegged USD Coin, all other nine out of the top-10 digital tokens were trading with decent gains on Tuesday.

Bitcoin rose to a four-week high, climbing for consecutive sessions lately, driven in part by the liquidation of some short positions that have accumulated in the virtual currency’s recent three-month downtrend.

Cryptocurrency prices today: Bitcoin, Ether recover from lows, trade higher

Cryptocurrency prices today evening rose marginally with Bitcoin breaking above $44,000.

The world’s largest and most popular digital token was last up 1.4% at $44,210.95.

In the last seven days, Bitcoin rose 13.7% and is down about 7.5% in 2022 (year-to-date or YTD) so far whereas, it is still over 36% away from its record high of near $69,000 hit in November 2021.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation today is at $2.12 trillion, rising 2.7% in the last 24 hours.

Bitcoin has been on steady bull run since February 4 but there does appear to be a price ceiling for now, as after reaching a weekly high of $45,500 (roughly Rs. 35 lakh) early on February 8, bears were able to lower the price of Bitcoin further down, around $43,500 (roughly Rs. 32.5 lakh).

Over the last 24 hours, the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency has had a 1.5 percent dip in price after a 2.03 percent dip through Tuesday.

Bitcoin’s value currently stands at $46,170 (roughly Rs. 35 lakh) on Indian exchange CoinSwitch Kuber.

Meanwhile, on global exchanges, the price of BTC stood at $43,429 (roughly Rs. 32.5 lakh), down by 1.35 percent over the past 24 hours.

As per CoinGecko data, Bitcoin’s value has surged by more than 12 percent over the past week and an 18 percent rise over the past fortnight.

Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, has followed Bitcoin’s suit and had a price correction of its own after soaring past $3,000 (roughly Rs. 2 lakh) on global exchanges.

At the time of publishing, Ether is valued at $3,266 (roughly Rs. 2.5 lakh) on CoinSwitch Kuber while values on global exchanges see the crypto’s value at $3,081 (roughly Rs. 2.5 lakh) after a 2.36 percent dip over the past 24 hours.

Compared to the price of Ether a week ago, CoinGecko data reveals that the cryptocurrency’s value has surged by close to 11 percent.
